Field trip!

Friday was a teacher planning day, so George took off to be with the kids. As luck would have it, Danny's preschool went on a field trip to the fire station, and Daddy, Zachary and Megan got to go this time! Megan got her first trip to a fire station, too! They had a great time, and George again got some fantastic pics! I wonder if this picture is a sign of Danny's future?

Dad Takes Zac For Lesson Number Two

This was Zachary's second driving lesson on a public road. I have to say he did a GREAT job! He had his first enounter with a vehicle in the opposite lane. I wanted to take a picture but couldn't bear to raise camera. I do believe I was more nervous than he was. Zac never slowed down.

Then came stop sign practice. Zac was so intent on obeying each stop sign that he stopped no less than three times for each! ; )

Next time, Thomasville Road!! Just kidding, Zac. : )

Dad, I have a boyfriend...

Can you see the worry in her eyes? While we were at Marble Slab, Megan told George about the boy she likes at school who is really good at drawing. That's my girl, recognizing talent when she sees it. Of course, Dad was not too enthusiastic since he's already stated that she can only start dating when she's 30. Can you say "Foreshadowing?" My goodness, I feel like she's 8 going on 16.

Saturday night ice cream!

We went to Marble Slab Creamery tonight, and George got some good shots of the kids. I think this is the best hobby for George...he's so good at taking these pictures. I'm so proud of him!

The Pumpkin Patch

Halloween is almost here. Our family tradition is to go to the Pumpkin Patch at the Presbyterian Church and pick out our pumpkins, and today we were inspired. We missed you Zachary, but we did get a nice rear-end shaped pumpkin just for you! ;) Enjoy our pics!

Growing up!

George got a great pic this weekend, and as I was looking through the now-organized digital pics (thanks, Honey!), I came across another pic of Megan and Danny from 3 years ago. I am always amazed at how much they've grown and changed over the years. I can't wait to see what kind of adults they are going to be! Zachary is so close to adulthood, it is scary!

First Driving Lesson

Ok, this is my first post. Forgive me if it doesn't look as professional as Dawn's.

Tonight I gave Zachary his first driving lesson. Believe it or not, he was more nervous than me. In fact, I was getting the feeling he was avoiding me this weekend to delay this fateful moment. Each time I approached Zac, he claimed to have homework to do. Is this normal? : )



The first thing I taught him was to adjust the seat, mirrors, and steering wheel for himself. Needless to say, we will need a phone book next time.

In the end, everything turned out fine and Zac overcame his nervousness. Of course, there's always next time... ; )
