Also, Happy Father's Day to my Dad, Bruce Gilbert. You taught me to enjoy watching windshield wipers in the rain, to enjoy nature and animals and old cars, and to laugh a lot. I love you, Dad.

Happy Father's Day to my grandfather, Charlie Ray Gilbert, who taught me how to churn ice cream, nail shingles on a roof, mix cement, and sing old gospel tunes. He was quiet and strong, and I miss my childhood summers with him.

And finally, Happy Father's Day to my other Grandpa, James Cantrill. Memories of him mainly include days boating on the lake, trips to the Amish market and flea markets, fishing for crawdads and channel cats, and hanging on the porch listening to him tell jokes. He was a larger than life cop called "Red" and was well loved by me, his Dawn Michelle.
